Job Description

The validation technician is responsible in assisting the Process and Cleaning Validation groups in performing various activities. Main responsibilities include data entry, product sampling, and report generation.

Facilitates the worldwide transfer of technology by ensuring process consistency, reproducibility and quality. Provides in-depth technical support to develop manufacturing processes for the transfer of technology from research to manufacturing or from one manufacturing facility to another. Establishes and implements procedures and guidelines that ensure consistent and compliant technology transfer processes. Introduces, troubleshoots and audits current processes. Has in-depth understanding of pharmacological, chemical, medical, compliance, legal, and industry factors.

 

Essential Duties / Functions

  • Review, follow, and ensure protocols are filled out correctly.
  • Perform swab sampling of APIs and Detergents on equipment and coordination with the QC lab as needed
  • Scheduling of swabs with appropriate departments
  • Observe validation batches and ensure proper samples are taken and submitted for testing.
  • Maintain the lab/testing area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Performs sieve analysis and bulk/tap density testing as required by protocol.
  • Performs Annual Product, Equipment Reviews and Periodic Reviews.
  • Maintains validation sample submission in Labware.
  • Maintains current training on SOPs, Forms, and cGMP guidelines.
  • Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as needed.
  • Update SOPs and Forms as needed.
  • Data entry and research.
  • Perform moderately complex and varied tasks
  • Completes a variety of atypical assignments
  • Works within defined processes and procedures or methodologies and may help determine the appropriate approach for new assignments
  • May be required to work off-shift hours as needed
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Associates degree in Scientific related field.

Experience Required:

1-3 years of experience within pharmaceutical or related manufacturing facility

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications required:       

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

Knowledge of : Labware, Oracle, SQL LIMS, TevDoc, Trackwise systems
