Defense

Responsibilities

Position is in support of the U.S. Army CCDC C5ISR Center Sustaining Base Network Assurance Branch (SBNAB). Program objective is to address today's cyber threats by designing and deploying game-changing cyber defense capabilities that allow organizations to defend better, react faster, coordinate rapidly, prioritize efforts, and respond smarter to security events, increased risks, and/or operational directives.

Description: Prepares and/or conducts training programs of a non-technical nature, teaches classes, holds seminars and discussion groups. Designs and delivers programs to train all levels of personnel. Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Formulates teaching outline in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such training methods as individual coaching, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops. Keeps abreast of training and development research: learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques. Develops in-house programs and practices to identify developmental needs, including preparing personnel for more responsible positions and increasing effectiveness in present assignments. May evaluate and/or oversee contractors or vendors to develop and/or administer training programs. Responsible for development of e-learning programs. Confers with management, employees and clients to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives and technologies. Formulates teaching outline and determines instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings and workshops. Selects or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works. Facilitates the execution of all training programs. Monitors training costs to ensure budget is not exceeded, and prepares budget reports to justify expenditures. Considered an emerging authority, who applies extensive technical expertise. Develops technical solutions to complex problems. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment. A Training Developer has experience in developing training strategies, determining training methods, and developing training materials for presentation in various media. Must be able to create new training strategies and presentation methods as new media or as new training methodologies become available. Must have experience in creating training plans and materials for large complex IT organizations and missions.


Qualifications

1. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 8 yrs of experience, or a Master's and 6 yrs of experience.

2. Requires active Secret clearance.

3. Requires current Information Assurance Technical (IAT)-II or higher certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH) and current Computing Environment certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M.
