Job Summary | The Department of Chemistry in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Kentucky invites applications for two temporary full-time instructors for the 2019-2020 academic year with a possible appointment for Summer 2020. Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry or related field. The teaching load is typically three classes per semester. Responsibilities include providing high-quality instruction to large-enrollment general or organic chemistry classes (150-300 students) which may include an evening course; collaborating with other instructors for instruction of large, multi-section service courses; providing assistance to students during regularly scheduled office hours and by appointment as needed; participating in writing and administration of exams (including some evenings); engaging in professional development activities; and other responsibilities which can include exam help sessions, teaching assistant observations, and other activities in support of the general chemistry program.
