Finance

The Finance team is responsible for all aspects of the corporate finance organization, including strategy, implementation, enterprise risk management and internal audit, treasury, tax, procurement and investor relations. These functional areas enable corporate profitability and success by ensuring cost savings and efficiencies, sound reporting of results and accurate forecasts.

Responsibilities

Perpecta is hiring for an External Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist in development and implementation of accounting policies
  • Preparation of accounting position papers and memos
  • Actively collaborate with the external financial reporting team to ensure the SEC filings are compliant from a technical accounting standpoint
  • Support the external and internal audit procedures associated with resolution of critical accounting issues
  • Preparation of assigned financial statement footnotes and Form 10Q/K sections including consolidated schedules and workpapers to support footnote disclosures
  • Prepares consolidated schedules and work papers to support footnote disclosures
  • Reviews XBRL tagging for assigned SEC filing sections
  • Provides support to Legal, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications Departments for Proxy, Annual Report and Earnings Releases

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field with 10-12 years of related experience or a Master's Degree with 8-10 years of related experience is required
  • CPA certification is required
  • Five+ years of accounting experience that includes 2 years of technical accounting and 1 year of SEC experience is required
  • Public accounting experience is required
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, with strong research skills and experience is required
  • Microsoft Office proficiency in Word and Outlook; Advanced Excel skills is required
  • Experience with auditing publicly-traded companies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Workiva WDesk reporting platform is preferred
  • Experience with Intelligize research platform is preferred
  • Experience with a government contract or project service environment is preferred
  • Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint is preferred
  • Proven ability to manage and meet deadlines regularly
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; a hands-on style and the ability to prioritize and deliver results
