Responsibilities

Provides feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Working as expert, conducts research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems. Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods. Verifies/validates systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Prepares assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis. Participates in design reviews of components (hardware and software) to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they verify/validate the requirements. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements. Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials. Considered a recognized authority within the company. Works on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative. Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.

Qualifications

Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA or 5 to 7 years with PhD. Duties: Task Manager - Monitoring and Incident Response Program Serves as the contractors task manager overseeing personnel and activities supporting the MIRD Program, including CIRT, E&V and Penetration Testing. Interfaces and coordinates with Government leads with key focus on effective, efficient, and compliant contractor support. Executes proper staffing, providing appropriate, qualified, and sufficient contractor resources to meet specified requirements. Establishes work duties and schedules, and addresses work discrepancies. Supervises and communicates program policies, purposes, and goals to subordinates. Formulates and enforces work standards. Maintains active liaison with DoS organizations, computer incident response organizations, such as the GFIRST, U.S. CERT, and other government agencies to resolve incidents and coordinate on situational awareness. Performs quality control; ensures contractor performance meets established performance standards. Monitors, tracks, and reports on the status of MIRD activities. Identifies, promotes, and implements process improvements. Education: Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 10 yrs of experience or a Master's with 8 yrs of experience. A Bachelors or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, or other related technical discipline. Experience: 10 years of experience in network technology, management or operation with increasing responsibilities. 10 years of current experience in managing network security monitoring and incident response capability. Five (5) years in managing 24x7x365 security monitoring operations of similar size and scope as the DoS CIRT. Demonstrated analytical and communications skills. Seven (7) years of technical task management and support Certifications Required: PMP Certifications Desired: CISSP, CISM
