Responsibilities

The Systems Storage Architect Lead will oversee a team providing technical oversight of hardware and software systems, with a focus on Storage Area Network administration for the Defense Intelligence Agency. The Lead will be responsible for designing and coordinating a storage strategy which includes: 1) Developing and implementing a strategy for the provisioning of storage services across all virtual and physical environments including backup, DR, and COOP.2) Documenting all instances of storage related to the capabilities outlined in this effort to include size, speed, accessibility, and scalability.3) Conducting testing and verification of all backups to ensure fidelity of data. The Lead will provide professional service within the parameters specified in the site's service level agreement and that meet or exceed the customer requirements.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery of necessary data.
  • Develop and maintain an automated environment including reporting, event notifications and actions, software updates and service packs.
  • Report on capacity and do proactive planning for additional storage.
  • Coordinate and communicate activities, status updates, outage notifications and schedule information.
  • Ensure reliable backup and recovery of necessary data.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. Bachelor's w/ 10-12 yrs. experience, Master's w/ 8-10 yrs. experience
  3. Experience leading small teams
  4. ITIL professional certification

Desired Qualifications:

  1. STEM degree (e.g., computer science, management information systems, systems engineering).
  2. Experience with Agile development and associated documentation
  3. DIA systems experience [e.g., Machine-Assisted Analytic Rapid-Repository System (MARS), Generic Area Limitations Environment (GALE), Functional Intelligence System of Hierarchical Networks (FISHNet), FounDRI, Event Data, Defense
  4. Systems experience with another IC Agency (i.e. NGA, NSA, etc)
