The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


  • The Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the system operation of a multi-user computer network, including coordination with network engineers.
  • Monitors and manages system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
  • Provides ongoing network technical support to addresses availability issues and overcomes network performance problems and issues.
  • Ensure servers are functioning properly, plan networks and oversee their installation, maintain and upgrade software, support users, monitor security tools and handle the installation, distribution, control and removal of hardware.
  • Administers systems and maintains the internet connection and firewall for systems users.
  • Performs systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
  • Advises on hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations.
  • Other duties may include setting up administrator accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
  • Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.


Requires 5 to 7 years with BS/BA, 3 to 5 years with MS, or 0 to 2 years with a PHD degree in related field such as computer science or a STEM discipline.
IAT level II certification CEH, Network+, Security+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Sec; Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA), Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT), Firewall, Unix, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), HBSS, & ITIL
Cyber operations and Computer Network Defense experience
Good oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment, as needed.

Familiarity with network operations programs governing directives.
Understanding of the U.S. Air Forces ranks, structure, and operations.
Experience with Enterprise Security Manager toolset
