Within ASML the sector Development & Engineering (D&E;) is responsible for the specification and the design of ASML products. In this position you will be part of the team that integrates a wide variety of HW, SW and other deliveries into a test rig or proto and verify that it performs at a the specified level.

## Job Mission

The System Test Engineer takes the technical lead in the integration of multiple prototype module (RH, RS, Alignment Sensor, etc.) deliveries into a test rig or proto and verifies performance. Integration is done on both functional level and on performance level of the key performance indicators of ASML’s systems (throughput, overlay, focus etc.). The System Test Engineer defines the optimal integration and test strategy to achieve this goal and takes part in execution of this strategy on one or more test rigs or proto’s.

## Job Description

Overview of main activities: define integration and test strategy: which items are needed in which order to perform stepwise integration into a test rig or proto. Document using the ASML integration way of working. coordinate intake of module or subsystem deliveries including the verification of sufficient quality; support/participate in integration tests on the test rig or proto; report on subsystem integration progress, test results and the subsystem’s functional, performance, and reliability status; take lead in analysis of test rig or proto issues that have been found during integration testing; define – both short and long term – solutions for test rig or proto issues found during integration. Main Responsibilities: definition of integration strategy for prototype modules into a test rig or proto; optimizing operational integration efficiency; reporting on module integration progress and test rig or proto status, both functional and performance.

## Education

BS education level preferable in mechatronics, physics, software, computer engineering or equivalent experience.

## Experience

Knowledge of system integration of complex high tech systems. Experience in integration activities, e.g. as integrator in multidisciplinary project. Hands-on experience in working on ASML machines. The candidate should have at least 2 years of lithography equipment experience or 5 years relevant experience.

## Personal skills

Analytically strong, enthusiastic, flexible, assertive, proactive, structured. Ability to interface/cooperate with different people on different technical levels. Ability/willingness to attend additional courses. Ability/willingness to work at local sites for short periods.

## Context of the position

System integration, system testing, functional dependency diagram, root cause analysis, test and integration plans. Position is in D&E; Wilton, CT reporting into the Integration and Reliability Engineering group. Some travel will be required.
