The Human Resources group is a multi-disciplined team that ensures Perspecta is positioned for long-term success by focusing on the company's most important asset its people. Areas of responsibility include benefits, compensation, talent acquisition, analytics, learning and development, and management. Services are delivered and supported through a partnership with each business group.


Responsibilities

If you're looking to contribute to real-time, customer-focused work related to your field of study, then Perspecta's internship program may be perfect for you! Our intern program places an emphasis on developing the next generations workforce; designed to provide college students with the opportunity to learn about Perspecta, gain meaningful hands-on work experience in a professional environment, and work on programs that enable missions of national importance. As part of our internship curriculum we provide the opportunity for each intern to interact with various branches of the company. This includes attending brown bag sessions with our executive leadership team, joining developmental learning lessons, and participating in teambuilding activities with mentors and fellow interns. We foster a culture of mentoring, continuous learning, and team orientation that will be evident from your first day on the job. Our goal is to build a roadmap that leads you to a long, rewarding, and challenging career with Perspecta! We work with you to determine your desired career path, and the correct steps to achieve your goals.At the end of the program each intern will give a brief presentation to our executive team summarizing their accomplishments and key takeaways achieved while working for us.

Under direct supervision, our interns perform various hands-on tasks and assignments for the organization's professional staff in disciplines such as Engineering, Software Development, Database Management, Security Threat Analysis, Human Resources, Marketing, and Finance.

We ask that each intern be available to work the duration of the ten weeks and commit to working a minimum of 30 hours per week. This program is geared towards technical college students, actively enrolled at a four year university, who will be rising into their senior year. Rising Juniors may be considered if they have declared their major and have qualified coursework.


Qualifications

Must be a US citizen. May be required to obtain a government security clearance. Must be actively pursuing a 4 year degree at an accredited university. Must be pursuing a degree in engineering, mathematics, business, information technology, computer science, or related fields. An ideal candidate will be a rising junior or senior. An ideal candidate will have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher. Requires High School level plus some advanced training.
