Perspecta is seeking an experienced intelligence community professional with expertise working strategic communications and knowledge management tasks supporting operational activities. This is an exciting opportunity to support a new effort that requires a self-motivated, creative individual to serve as a Communications Officer. This is a unique, hybrid staff officer position affording the successful candidate with an opportunity to work all sides of mission-focused knowledge management, communications, marketing, and training. In addition to developing communication products in support of the customer program office, this position involves close interaction with the Program Manager and other members of the program office, external organizations, and senior leadership across the intelligence community in the development and delivery of products in multiple formats for diverse audiences.

This position provides a unique opportunity to create and manage strategic communication and knowledge sharing programs supporting high-visibility intelligence community missions that require engagement with a diverse range of internal and external offices working the nations most important intelligence missions. Tasks range from large, complex knowledge sharing and awareness programs including development of web based training for operational users engaged in highly sensitive missions to small, highly targeted communications tasks to quickly explain highly complex operational and technical information to senior decision makers. This position requires strong writing and editing skills and expertise using communication software applications with proven strengths in resource planning, task prioritization, and meeting project timelines. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Managing internal and external communications for the team
  • Development of communication plans and protocols
  • Identification and analysis of the audience for project communication products
  • Identification of the most effective channels and tools for the audience
  • Drafting of reports, presentations, web postings, and other communications related to the program
  • Translation of detailed program information into products tailored for different audiences
  • Development of training materials, user manuals, and related user-centric documentation for the system associated with the program
  • Developing standard branding, templates, and formatting for the program
  • Interacting with external organizations to coordinate release of program information to a wide audience

Successful candidates will thrive in roles requiring the management of multiple, high-priority tasks across a diverse set of customers and stakeholders with many tasks requiring quick-turn around deliverables.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires 5 (five) years of experience providing communications support for large-scale (100+ user) programs or organizations
  • Competency in desktop publishing tools include Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience producing tailored content for multiple platforms, including WordPress and SharePoint
  • Proficiency across multiple digital media types (images, video, audio, etc.), including creation and editing
    Knowledge of digital communications strategy concepts
    Experience working with multiple IC elements
    Experience using intelligence production and/or dissemination systems
  • Experience with technical collection or development efforts
