  • Act as the confidential assistant in support of the Group Vice President by maintaining relevant knowledge of group-level priorities, scheduling store visits, managing time, prioritizing workload, managing email inbox and other tasks as assigned
  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by assisting with concerns that are escalated to the group level in a manner that is friendly, positive, timely and solution-oriented
  • Be financially accountable; manage group-level expenses and budgets accurately and within compliance guidelines
  • Effectively organize the group office and manage record retention
  • Schedule meetings, coordinate agendas, prepare supporting documents, order catering and distribute meeting minutes for large groups
  • Coordinate travel arrangements (e.g., flights and hotels) as needed
  • Foster an inclusive, diverse, safe and secure culture; create an environment of openness, trust and recognition; use Target's recognition programs to celebrate wins and highlight successes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with store leaders, business partners and peers
  • Respond to all team questions and concerns promptly and courteously, directing them to appropriate leaders and resources as needed
  • Coordinate group talent activities in partnership with your GVP, HRD and/or DTLs and support all aspects of preparation to ensure successful talent planning
  • Complete all new hire processes and tasks in a timely manner to ensure a positive onboarding experience for new leaders
  • Maintain data accuracy for all team members; process data changes accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assist with the performance review process
  • Support well-being initiatives; drive advocacy and adoption of wellness for team members, guest and community
  • Coordinate community involvement, including special projects and annual campaigns
  • Partner with the HRD/GVP on forecasting interview needs and provide appropriate time block needs



  • High school education
  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task as well as problem solving and decision making skills
