Responsibilities

The Operations Targeting Analyst is responsible for developing targets and target systems for joint lethal and/ or non-lethal engagements to support Information Operations Field Support Teams. Targeting subject matter expert responsible for planning, preparing, integrating, executing, and assessing processes and tools to execute Operations Security and Military Deception. Develops target nominations, creates database records, and databases target intelligence products. Produces all-source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments and assists with combat assessment

requirements. Conducts collateral damage estimation, performs target list management, target strategy development, and provides joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements. Provides recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives for

plans and operations.

Specific Responsibilities include: (Tasks from PWS 5.3.1 area)

  • Support the execution of applicable planning processes (Army, Joint, and Interagency).
  • Validate information and assessments and make time critical recommendations for senior leadership
  • Provide Information Operations mission planning, mission analysis, technical analysis, and targeting subject matter expertise to input to operations procedures and documentation.
  • Collect and assemble targeting data and information to integrate and share Tactics, Techniques and Procedures for targeting considerations.
  • Manage target lists to support delivery of effects.
  • Review and recommend targeting priorities.
  • Performs combat and Battle Damage assessments.
  • Conducts Capability Gap Analysis and Materiel Solutions Analysis
  • Brief senior leaders, planners, and members of the Intelligence Community

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in related field;
  • At least eight years experience in conducting analysis and information operations planning supporting DoD or IC customer with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years., Plus;
    1. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding DoD and interagency planning process.
    2. Demonstrated experience performing preparing information operations planners.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting and integrating IO planning into mission assessments and combined staff planning and contingency operations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ten years experience in conducting information operations support to DoD or IC customer with at least a portion of the experience within the last two years.
  • Experience and training in one or more areas of; IO Planning, field support teams, military operations and leading a field support team are highly desirable.
  • Ten or more years active duty military, civilian or contractor performance working in Information Operations.
