JOB SUMMARY

  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing orders and processing all required documentation.
  • Complete all duties within given time frame.
  • Meet primary & auxiliary job responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with all suppliers, customers & regulatory bodies efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To read and understand the Shipping/Export Employee job description and have a full understanding of the quality manual sections that pertain to warehouse performance.
  • To follow management training and instructions.
  • To ensure that all daily breaks and lunch periods are met within the shipping department .
  • To communicate with operations manager on a regular basis with all issues regarding warehouse operations.
  • Be proactive in the operations and growth of the Company by bringing suggestions and concerns to the operations manager, quality manager and/or branch manager.
  • Responsible for prioritizing the day’s daily orders and processing them accordingly.
  • Run daily reports to determine shipments being processed for the current and next day.
  • Work with the operations manager and other warehouse employees to coordinate the daily workflow.
  • Responsible for notifying customers of any delays or issues and shipment availability. Fix Resolve any issues relating to shipping of a particular order
  • Communicate with customers and freight companies to arrange pick up for “Will Call” shipments.
  • Provide consolidation management for efficient shipping costs to our customers.
  • Responsible for calling vendors to track material status and to schedule appropriate shipping methods for incoming material.
  • Process paperwork from the warehouse and schedule shipping methods. ( Local, Domestic & International)
  • Call various trucking companies to get quotes for shipments going to & from various locations worldwide.
  • Process international shipments per government regulations including, ITAR & USMCL requirements, applying for export licenses as necessary.
  • File international shipments over $2500 with AES and file correct export documentation with the appropriate forwarders or agencies.
  • Create packing slips & invoices for outgoing shipments and create Bills of Lading required for the pick-up.
  • Provide assistance and ensure the inventory is located & tagged properly.
  • Assist with inventory management and cycle counts when applicable
  • Interpret and respond clearly and effectively to requests over the phone or in person.

Requirements

 

  • Shipping & Receiving, MS Office 2013, ERP Systems: 2 years
  • High school or equivalent
