Job Description:

- SAIC is looking for a Senior Windows Systems Administrator to join our Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) team in Washington, DC.
- Senior Windows Administrators on our team provide technical leadership to teams modernizing and enhancing the PBGC Information Technology Infrastructure.
- Responsibilities include the managing, engineering, and daily operations of all Windows servers with a focus on software deployment services.
- The candidate will be knowledgeable in designing, building, implementing, documenting, and supporting Windows servers and infrastructures hosting various applications/web servers.
- As a Senior Systems Administrator, the candidate is able to provide technical oversight and team direction that includes the development of practices and standards related to the use of computing resources at PBGC, overall infrastructure migration strategy, design, implementation, and operational aspects of multiple systems, operating environments, and related software.
- The candidate also exhibits strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft cloud technologies such as Office 365 and Azure.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's Degree in related technical discipline and 6+ years of related IT and systems engineering experience.
- Additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a Degree.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

- All candidates for consideration must be eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- The successful candidate must have significant familiarity with Windows servers: Design, Configuration, and Administration of Windows 2008r2 and 2012. Knowledge of Active Directory, including Group Policies, FISMO roles, Forest and Domain management and Certificate Authority.
- Must have solid hands-on experience in Administering Microsoft Active Directory Must have solid hands-on experience in managing Domain Controllers Must have solid hands-on experience of enterprise system patching using Bigfix or other tools.
- Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems Sets up administrator and service accounts and troubleshoot Creates/updates and Maintains system documentation Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products Deep understanding of monitoring Windows Server and Services Deep understanding and hands-on experience in support HP Blades Systems and its maintenance i.e. firmware patching, configuration etc.
- Deep hands-on experience with Windows Server 2003-2012 Solid hands-on experience in Administering Microsoft Active Directory Solid hands-on experience with system management tools such as Microsoft Systems Operations Manager, Microsoft Systems Configuration Manager, IBM Big Fix, HP Operations Manager, Dell iDRAC, HP Integrated Lights-Out, and Microsoft Active Directory.
- 4+ years of SQL server Installation and management, 2005-2016 Also possess strong knowledge of Active Directory and GPO management experience.
- Ability to work independently with some guidance from supervisor/manager Strong analytical skills
- Able to assess and solve issues in a high-pressure environment.
- Able to work effectively with other groups and teams.
- Strong knowledge of supporting MS tools (SCCM, SCOM, MDT, DNS, networking, storage, clustering).
- Scripting and/or programming (Power Shell, VB Script or other) Configure, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot windows software deployment Reviewing service related reports such as backups; maintenance; and monitoring on a daily basis.
- Participate in researching solutions to various business and technical problems; evaluate alternatives; and provide recommendations
- Establishing and performing maintenance plan activities Provide Tier 3 support for customers and technical staff Performance analysis, tuning and optimization on various hardware platforms.
- Experience with VoIP communications systems.
- Work as technical liaison between liaison between management, employees, vendors, support, and consultants.
- Windows certifications, such as those provided by Microsoft, desired Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex technical problems with team members, customers, and vendors quickly and effectively Process-oriented team player with excellent communications skills
- Must have strong communication skills and be a motivated, self-starter. DESIRED SKILLS: PowerShell Script, VB Script, HP Blades, SQLServer, VMware, Quest ARS, IBM BigFix, IIS, System Center Configuration Manager, Symantec EndPoint Protection Exposure to Oracle database concepts and installations.
- Understanding of requirements analysis and verification.

Preferred Certifications:

- MCSE, ITIL. Process improvement experience.
