Job Description

As a Reliability Engineer we'll count on you to:

 

Provide technical and organizational support to the maintenance department in order to drive equipment reliability and performance improvement, as well as implement systems and best maintenance practices. Manage the maintenance spare parts process and work closely with EHS, Engineering,

 

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and implement maintenance reliability engineering program for process equipment by collecting and analyzing equipment performance data, data trending, performing FMEA, developing and implementing preventive, predictive maintenance, and run to failure strategies.
  • Develop and implement PM optimization program for equipment.
  • Perform risk and criticality assessments for process equipment and implement CBM (Condition-based monitoring) program via Vibration, ultrasonic, infra-red and oil testing regimes.
  • Act as key site contact for maintenance excellence initiatives.
  • Gather data on equipment/facility problems and implement Problem Solving, Lean and 6-sigma tools, such as DMAIC, 5 Whys, FMEA, RCA, and cause and effect diagrams, identify the root cause followed by implementing necessary corrective actions.
  • Implement TPM (Autonomous maintenance pillar), Cleaning/lubrication and predictive maintenance program. Create Standard Work (visual aids) for equipment setups and PM tasks including training operators and mechanics.
Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

 

Education/Certification/Experience/Skills:

  • BS Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
  • Five (5) years experience in Operational Eng. roles, supporting operations, improving performance. 
  • Three (3) years prior experience in pharmaceutical or other GMP-regulated industry.
  • Highly experienced using lean and 6-Sigma tools for equipment improvements, including complex RCA activities.
