Due to rapid growth, we are looking to add a senior recruiter to our Talent Acquisition team in New York.

BI has a valuable portfolio of digital subscription products, providing business critical intelligence to global, regional and niche communities within five core industry sectors: Pharma & Healthcare; Finance; Telecoms, Media & Technology; Maritime & Law and Agribusiness & Commodities.

 

 

DIVISION

 

The HR team provides critical support across our business.  It is committed to providing innovative, practical human resource solutions which contribute to achieving the Company’s overall objective to build its position as a world class online media organisation. This requires advisory and specialist knowledge on the full breadth of HR issues according to local practice and legislation.

 

 

JOB PURPOSE

 

The Recruiter will be responsible for all recruitment activity across the open recruitment requisitions with a focus on direct sourcing to reduce time and cost to hire.  This end to end recruitment position involves working with the HR team and Hiring Managers to take the job brief, source candidates via a variety of channels, undertake phone interviews, arrange interviews and managing the offer process.

 

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

 

End to end talent acquisition management

  • Work closely with the Hiring Managers and HR teams to ensure a consistent and efficient recruitment processes is upheld to bring on board talent to Informa
  • Liaise with Hiring Managers ensuring you have a clear brief as to roles required to fill, what skills required and the key selling points for each role. Ensure you agree the recruitment process with the relevant managers. Ensure you sharing best recruiting and selection practice among your line managers.
  • Creative sourcing of Candidates through the use of a wider variety of recruitment channels including job boards, social media and third party suppliers identify suitable candidates to interview for current vacancies. Create and post adverts on job boards, as well as using innovative methods to source candidates in a cost-effective manner
  • Understanding talent pools key competitors and can demonstrate or build a strong network of top flight talents for Informa BI.
  • Telephone interviewing of candidates: to a) sell the opportunity, in a competitive environment, b) to discuss what role with Informa involves (this includes sending out professional materials to potential candidates) and c) identify suitable candidates for current or future vacancies within Informa Business Information

 

Offer Management

  • Conduct face-face interviews where appropriate conduct face-face interview to shortlist for interviews with hiring managers.
  • Take ownership of all roles you are working towards. In liaison with all other members of the HR team, improve HR processes through process mapping and change management.
  • At all times when dealing with candidates to ensure that a professional image is portrayed including timely and constructive feedback to candidates.
  • Conduct salary negotiations to successfully place candidates into open roles. Keep in contact until candidate joins and ensure candidates have correct joining instructions.
  • Working with the Recruitment team to source and negotiate favorable rates for any media advertising spend, ensuring authorization is in place

 

Recruitment Administration

  • Vacancy Requisition Management ensuring that all recruitment requisitions are recorded centrally in a timely manner, with correct authorizations in place prior to commencing recruitment activity and authorization is in place prior to offering positions.
  • Use of recruitment ATS to track hiring progress and metrics. Able to report on hiring progress to the business.
  • Candidate Administration to develop and oversee efficient and effective application tracking, response and management system. Provide timely information and status updates

 

Recruitment Project Support

  • Involvement in variety of projects relating to recruitment including but not limited to salary benchmarking, PSL reviews, social /digital recruiting strategies, candidate experience, employer branding, EVP etc.
  • Facilitate training sessions to advise and upskill the business on recruitment best practice and selection processes.

 

 

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

  • Previous experience within recruitment is essential, ideally from an agency side background within a professional services discipline
  • Experience in direct sourcing methods across a variety of channels including job boards, social media and headhunting
  • Advanced interviewing skills to determine candidate’s suitability for a variety of level roles within Informa
  • Strong and clear communicator with an ability to influence and engage internal stakeholders and candidates at a variety of levels and job functions
  • Organized, methodical and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple assignments at once
  • Positive, proactive attitude – able to identify what needs to be done, and tackle it energetically and tenaciously
  • Able to work in an environment where the need to maintain confidentiality is of paramount importance
  • Strong team-player
  • Excellent IT Skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Relevant recruitment employment law knowledge
