Defense

The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes GCSS-A data fields and content through investigative study and reports query to determine usefulness of entered data, and identification and value of unpopulated or needed data fields.
  • Develops, performs, and documents GCSS-A maintenance, usage and supply data extraction procedures to create reports, conduct analysis, and solve critical problems.
  • Writes procedural guides for novice GCSS-A users.
  • Recommends GCSS-A system enhancements to improve useability.
  • Recommends configuration management changes or techniques that can be used to improve fleet visibility, and calculate Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) metrics.
  • Performs requirements analysis support for incorporation of new data collection technologies.
  • Collaborates with program employees, government customers, and other SMEs to provide decision-makers with clear, meaningful, and justifiable analyses developed in a manner free of bias or unrecognized risk.
  • Prepares reports and studies, and communicates results to program management and government customers.
  • Reads and researches U.S. Army Technical Manuals for CECOM or other Army equipment in pursuit of data analysis and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research or Science, Technology, or Engineering discipline.
  • Ten years minimum experience in research, analysis, engineering or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Army logistics systems, publications, and major Army CECOM systems and end items or extensive background in automotive systems.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering software packages desired.
  • Experience with engineering or statistical analysis tools such as MATLAB are desired.
  • Strong skills with using Microsoft Office Access, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word applications are required.
  • Must be a U.S citizen and have an active DoD Secret security clearance

Work Environment:

The work environment is primarily in an office setting. Travel may be required on a limited basis.
