Purpose of Role:

Leading the EMEA sales team, comprising Corporate Account Managers and a team of Business Development and SME Account Managers led by a Team Leader with responsibility of owning specific sales opportunities or accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, hire, train, motivate and supervise a team and a team leader
  • Run and own specific sales opportunities or accounts, sourcing new clients and building new relationships, maintaining existing client relationships, achieving and exceeding sales goals, and implementing creative sales strategies.
  • Support the team in achieving and exceeding challenging revenue targets and sales objectives
  • Be a role model for the team
  • Develop individual members of the team through coaching and mentoring and accompanying them on client visits
  • Increase the growth potential in existing accounts and acquiring new clients in a competitive sales environment
  • Be a commercial figurehead for the Agribusiness Intelligence business
  • Cement and own key client relationships
  • Lead a number of projects and initiatives, focusing on increasing the efficiency and productivity of the Sales team
  • Present and negotiate up to Board level in any organization
  • Expected to spend 15% of time in the field


Required skills/experience:

  • Minimum 8 years sales experience required
  • Ambassador of the Informa code of conduct for working behaviour
  • Territory Management and overlaying a Salesforce coverage model
  • Ability to recommend commission architecture changes
  • Ability to manage costs (E/R ratios)
  • Sharing ideas with other Directors & across vertical
