Job Details

Safety

  • Primary Leader Responsible for Division Safety Program
  • Monthly Inspections (Ladder, Chains/slings)
  • Reviews Daily Pre-shift inspections & tool Box Meetings (weekly)
  • Conducts variety of required safety assessments/evaluations & Leads Annual safety audit
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly Safety committee/shop meetings
  • Conduct New Hire Orientation training, and re-training when required
  • Controls all safety programs (lock-out, Hearing tests, Hot works, Electrical, Infectious control,  Fire Safety, Hazard Communication, Contractor Safety, Load Securement, Hydration, etc.)
  • Schedule Outside agency training sessions
  • Creates, Maintains and trains Job Safety Analysis (JSA's)
  • Investigates near misses/accident reports

Quality Assurance

  • Primary leader responsible for Division Quality Assurance Program
  • Maintain Division QMS - ISO Compliance and Leads Annual ISO Audits
  • NCR Investigations, Database Management & Report Generation
  • Utilizes Performance Data to Drive continuous improvement plans
  • Supplier evaluations and processing of supplier claims
  • Keeping work instructions up to date and revising/updating when required

 

 

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both Orally and in writing
  • Excellent administrative abilities, including ability to maintain databases, reports & Audits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
  • Ability to conduct group presentations, training sessions & meetings
  • Ability to multi-task under difficult conditions and with deadlines
  • ability to work in Plant environment for hours at a time, when required

Preferred skills

  • Associates or Bachelor Degree
  • Experience in Metals industry
  • Prior experience in Safety Program and QA Progra, Leadership/Management
