Verify information on incoming shipments. Record incoming material using the company ERP specialized software.  



  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, advance shipping notices, or purchase orders, to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for delivery of materials.
  • Confer and correspond with company representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Specifically allocate material to work orders and route to the shop floor for processing.
  • Verify specifications and properties values on mill test reports to industry standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Related on-the-job experience, or at the Manager’s discretion.
  • Job Training: Usually needs one or two years of training involving both on-the-job experience and informal training with experienced workers.
  • Overall Experience: Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required.
