Position Summary:

The Quality Senior Coordinator is responsible, under the direction from management, for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality system processes that promote a quality work environment while maintaining compliance with internal and customer quality requirements. This position is visible on the manufacturing floor, interfacing with employees concerning quality issues, assessing risk and evaluating process performance. This position will use a proactive and collaborative approach when working with operations, management, and other support groups to create and monitor quality processes.

 

Specific Responsibilities/Examples of Duties:

  1. With guidance from Management, defines, plans, and manages quality system policies and procedures in compliance with internal and customer quality requirements.

  2. Records, monitors and validates corrective actions.

  3. Plans and conducts internal quality system audits, product audits and manufacturing audits per ISO/IATF requirements.

  4. Develops and maintains quality system documentation as needed.

  5. Conducts root cause analysis and completes corrective actions for supplier, customer and distributor concerns.

  6. Participates and leads APQP projects, monitors and revises PFMEAs as needed and submits PPAP documents per customer requirements.

  7. Participates in risk analysis per IATF and ISO9001 requirements.

  8. Provide Quaity Systems Training during new hire orientation and prior to them being released into the work place. This position will conduct quality systems training for temporary associates before they can be released into the work place.

  9. The preceding functions are examples of the types of work performed by associates assigned to this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change, or rescind work assignments and to make reasonable accommodations as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate work experience.

  2. Strong understanding of AIAG core tools.

  3. Strong understanding of ISO9001 and IATF 16949 requirements.

  4. Strong problem solving skills.

  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  6. Five (5) or more years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive.

  7. Knowledge of Automotive standards and requirements.

  8. Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.

  9. High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  10. Ability to analyze data, comprehends both abstract and concrete concepts, and translates technical information in a manner that can be communicated to non-technical personnel.
