ASML San Jose, CA is an industry leader in computational lithography for integrated circuits. Our Tachyon platform enables capabilities that address chip design, photomask making and wafer printing for semiconductor manufacturing and the LithoTuner platform enables lithography optimization for ASML’s leading photo lithography tools, known as ‘scanners’.

## Job Mission

Your mission is to contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of ASML’s market position. You cooperate with applicable ASML Management in order to secure and extend ASML’s market position and create customer and client values. You support the implementation of the Product Generation Process (PGP) and you prepare and manage the production of all information and documentation to assist the market introduction. The holder of this position is a member of the Business line Applications organization and reports to the Product Marketing Director. Product & Service Marketing is responsible for defining product requirements, interfacing with Product Development and System Engineering on technical specification, and product implementation strategy. Product marketing defines the customer requirements and participates in translating these requirements into technical specifications. Product & Service Marketing defines commercial product strategy and roadmap. Aligns product strategy and introduction (commercial and timing) with the sales organization. Product marketing is responsible for the product introduction material, and is the first in line to communicate this to customers. Products consist of hardware, software and services. Product & Service Marketing has next to the product responsibility also a customer responsibility. Every customer account team has a Product & Service Marketing representative from the Business line Applications. The responsibility is to align the BL Applications total product offering for the specific customer, act as contact person for the account team into the BL Applications, and support response strategy in case of escalations.

## Job Description

Contribute to the definition of a product (line) by the preparation of all aspects of the specific product. Analyze market trends and possibilities in relation to technological developments, customer demands and the position of competitors. Define target markets and long term market goals. Define market strategy for the specific product range, including a mix of chargeable products and cost free improvements, features and services. Develop worldwide (communication) strategy, product portfolio and pricing and prepare marketing and sales support. Define the market plan for a specific product range and collect market information. Responsible for the Product Requirements Specification for new products. Drive execution of business plan across multidisciplinary teams at different ASML and Customer sites. Use market information to develop contingency plans and evaluate market plans for programs and individual product lines for ASML as a whole; Interact regularly with customers on the value of the whole product. Solicit continuously for improvements in products and related extensions and additions.

## Education

Minimum MSc in an Engineering or Physical Science. Education or extensive ‘on the job’ training in business or equivalent experience.

## Experience

Strong technical background – minimum 10 years’ experience working in leading edge, high-tech, development & manufacturing facility. Knowledge of semiconductor industry – such as overlay and/or imaging control, chip fabrication and yield ramp, wafer and/or mask defect inspection and qualification. Preferable experience in developing (value-based) product / service business strategy in a semiconductor environment. Ability to work both independently and in team settings in high ambiguity environments. Demonstrated ability to perform in high-pressure environments. Extensive experience in multicultural environment, operating in Europe, the US and Asia. Strong technical background – minimum 10 years’ experience working in leading edge, high-tech, development & manufacturing facility. Knowledge of semiconductor industry – such as overlay and/or imaging control, chip fabrication and yield ramp, wafer and/or mask defect inspection and qualification.

## Context of the position

Within ASML the Product Business Lines are accountable for the development of the ASML products. The Product Marketing manager is responsible to provide optimal solutions to our demanding customers to support their performance and to improve their global competitive position. The Product Marketing manager is continuously challenged to maintain the right balance between technical capabilities, time to market and business targets, both for ASML and the customers, to ensure that ASML is chosen as the preferred partner, now and in the future. Location of position: Veldhoven / Eindhoven, The Netherlands International travel up to 30% is part of this position Relocation to California or Taiwan on mid to long term is a possibility
