Role Summary:The Portfolio Product Marketing Manager manages all product marketing functions for GE Digitals portfolio of software applications, drives alignment with overall GE Digital suite of applications, and acts as interlock between key stakeholders in product management, marketing functions and sales

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:



+ Understand how personas intersect across the portfolio of offerings, their impact on messaging and campaign themes



+ Collaborate w/ product management and sales to foster interlock on audience identification, buyer needs, and messing; alignment with corporate marketing and campaign teams on themes, content architecture and execution.



+ Voice of customer understand and analyze customer needs



+ Voice of sales gather feedback on use cases, selection criteria and functionality required



+ Segmentation and targeting document and communicate high-level business requirements for each segment



+ Value proposition help develop clear and compelling value propositions that address customer outcomes



+ Go-to-market support marketing strategy, sales enablement and launch plans for new releases; generate product naming, campaigns, messaging, content and thought leadership in support of new releases



+ Content lead and execute compelling content development for marketing campaigns to promote product/service portfolio



+ Sales enablement deliver information, content and tools in a prescriptive manner that aligns to the buyers journey (sales playbook, demo, target customer lists, etc.)



+ Demonstrated ability to generate compelling stories



+ Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis research



+ Brand Ensure all aspects of product marketing content are on brand, consistent, focused on customer outcomes, and employ best marketing practices



+ Helps develop marketing requirements document document business case, VOC, value, design and prioritization requirements for early new product releases tollgates



+ Metrics measure and drive lead generation, orders and sales performance (as needed)

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications



+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration .



+ A minimum 5 years of professional experience in strategic marketing, product marketing, market analysis, consumer insights, sales/branding or related field experience.

+ Must be willing to work out of an office located in Roanoke, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, San Ramon

+ Understands the basic needs of the customer, and has a general understanding of the current product capabilities. Understands the customer value proposition at a high level.

+ Leverages experts and influencers from enterprise software industry to drastically improve customer experience, speed, cost, scope or efficiency of their solutions. Creates & spreads awareness of software go-to-market strategies & critical success metrics within their teams. Proactively engages in targeted continuous learning.



Business Acumen:



+ Studies the current state of customers' business, their ecosystem and market. Understands how customers make money. Builds a good relationship with the customer to understand their business model, needs and wants (both stated and implicit). Researches the issues that impact customers' business and industry. Goes above and beyond for the customer bringing best practices from in and outside the industries to help them generate new revenue streams.



+ Familiarity with the overall solutions within a business unit and can describe the value proposition of each. Discusses ideal use cases, and basic value calculator parameters. Capability to provide competitive analysis of all solution areas in a business unit and able to support demonstration scenarios while in a competitive presentation situation.

+ Establishes vision, identifies and champions internal and external best practices, tools, and ideas to improve execution and quality. Drives efficiency, accountability and ownership in the organization. Is able to clearly articulate commercial value creation and tangible business results. Accepts failure, learns from mistakes and celebrates collective success.



+ Identifies opportunities for necessary changes and actively pursues/leads appropriate changes. Evaluates progress and involves peers and team members in analyzing strengths and weaknesses in performance. Works with executive stakeholders to embrace the design and technical implications of change. Recommends changes that impact strategic business direction. Leads the planning and implementation of change programs that impact critical processes.
