Job Description

 

JOB PURPOSE

To ensure the TMT's marketing strategy is turned into effective, customer-facing Social & Content marketing tactics that drives customer behaviour and consequently business results for the best possible cost and return.

 

Aligned to the business objectives and situational analysis, this role will:

  • Manage and create customer contacts through our CRM system through updates, event attendance, list building etc.
  • Manage event schedule for internal and external events as well as being the point of contact for our event partners
  • Support the wider Marketing Strategy by translating and localising content into Simplified Chinese
  • Collate and support event attendance with the wider sales teams to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Identify and execute effective channels to market for our collateral, including Social Media, PR and event branding.
  • Working with appropriate local associations and regulatory bodies to create demand
  • Review, adapt and evolve performance to drive a higher return on investment.

 

This role will work as part of a marketing communications team who are responsible for ensuring the go-to-market strategy for each vertical achieves the business goals via the most effective routes to market.

Campaign delivery

  • Deliver effective marketing communications programmes that engage existing & new customers and achieve the desired outcomes for the best possible cost.
  • Ensure customer and prospect data targets the core segments identified within business KPIs and objectives
  • Implement email campaigns across various platforms
  • Able to segment target customer groups and create persona-driven messaging.
  • Effectively manage CRM & Email budget to deliver on results

Channel strategies

  • Distribution strategies – create and implement an email distribution strategy to optimize customer reach and drive product awareness and sales.
  • Strategic data partners – identify key partners in the marketplace with whom to develop affiliations, fostering relationships that create new/better data hygiene and generate actionable insight.
  • Industry knowledge - Become an expert on CRM & Email by following trends in the industry and applying the latest techniques.
  • Product contributors – develop and manage relationships with key external and internal contributors to ensure campaigns generate maximum response.

Promotional strategies

  • Customer journey – ensure the CRM & email strategy and implementation aligns with the stages of the customer journey (prospect, lead, customer, repeat customer, product advocate) to increase customer conversion rates and improve renewal rates
  • Promotional planning – create CRM & Email promotional plans for the portfolios, covering new customer acquisition and renewals, retention and key accounts. Ensure that promotional plans map to the customer journey/conversion funnel, and that specific activities are planned to address all stages of the customer decision making process (awareness, interest, desire, action, loyalty).
  • Campaign execution – work closely with Product Marketing Teams to ensure that the plans translate into detailed campaign execution plans and schedules that communicate key product and brand messages, engage customers and stimulate purchase & usage of the product(s).

Markets and customers 

  • Market definition – Use product marketing briefs & team meetings to define the core markets (by industry / sector or sub-sector / geography)
  • Customer segmentation – target segment markets by key customer types, size and value.
  • Competitive landscapes – identify competitor email strategies and assess their strengths and weaknesses and develop a strategy to compete.

KPIs and reporting

  • Provide regular KPI reporting showing aggregated performance across multiple variables
  • Provide regular updates as needed and suggestions for improvement.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

 

  • English and Mandarin (Simplified Chinese) Language skills - essential
  • Ideally bachelor’s level education or equivalent or experience in the TMT space
  • Experience of CRM &/or Email planning and execution at an agency or for a client
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, particularly word and excel
  • Experience of database management, utilizing all aspects of the promotional mix across marketing media
  • Results-driven – ensure that marketing campaigns fulfil strategic goals and drive the required business results
  • Highly organized, methodical and process-driven, demonstrating a drive to improve internal processes whenever possible
  • Able to deal with ambiguity and work in a matrix organization, adaptable and flexible

Ability to work successfully as part of a team and across geographies in Asia.
