Perspecta has an immediate/upcoming need for a Problem Management Manager in theSt. Louis Missouri area.

Perspecta is currently looking for a Problem Management Manager on a large DoD contract. This contract employs engineers network technicians across ~15 partner companies in the sustainment of a world-wide operation. The Problem Manager will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals in the care and feeding of the various networks and services used to operate and maintain a global multi-layered infrastructure. Technologies include IP, Optical Transport both Voice and Video over IP and other services used by DoD.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees problem management discipline, ensuring an effective and coordinated set of processes are developed and maintained across all network/ services (IP, Transport and VVoIP).
  • Co-ordinates rapid response to major incidents and problems, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to investigate and resolve them, with minimal downtime to systems and services.
  • Ensures the specific technical skills required are provided to deliver an effective incident and problem management function providing gap analysis and roadmap for improvement of service.
  • Analyze incident and problem reports and statistics to propose resolutions to reduce the number of incidents, by proactively identifying and preventing possible incidents.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline and 8 years of overall Information Technology related experience.
  • Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge and Skills Required:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can adapt to various audiences including executives and customers
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to successfully troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Experience with Problem and Change Management processes
  • Knowledge of Incident Management processes
  • DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
  • DoD 8750 certification at IAT level II, Security+ CE or CCNA Security.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified
  • Experience working with virtual environments
