Job Summary

The Sports Medicine Research Institute in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated candidate with training in sport-related musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation/prevention or concussion. The successful candidate will work on projects to investigate the interplay between musculoskeletal injury, biomechanics, neurocognition, and concussion in physically active populations. This position will participate in laboratory data capture and analyses for ongoing research projects within the SMRI or at off-site testing locations. A successful candidate must also possess the ability to pursue independent research projects and apply for extramural funding to support their efforts in a research area parallel to the mission of the SMRI. Applicants with experience providing research mentorship to graduate and undergraduate researchers will be given preference. The selected individual will be supported through strong mentorship, grant writing opportunities and presentation at relevant scientific conferences with networking opportunities. The applicant will also be expected to be involved in several research projects and contribute to the writing of grant applications and publications.
