Being able to sit for periods of time working on computer, able to lift objects up to 20 lbs


Building is open 8:30-5:00 Monday through Friday only. No weekends. Ability to work 15-20 hour a week desired

Job Summary

The digitization and video editing student assistant is responsible for the digitization of analogue oral histories, as well as editing digital video at the Louie B. Nunn Center for Oral History in the Special Collections Research Center. Duties include video editing as well as digitization of analogue cassette recordings; naming, transferring, and organization of digital files; and documentation of processing and metadata collection.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Student must have keen attention to detail, and the ability to multitask with precision; ability to follow departmental procedures and policies and to work without close supervision while maintaining workflow and prioritization schedules.

Preferred Education/Experience

Proficiency working in a Mac OS environment. Audio software experience a plus.
