Job Summary

The Yamasaki Laboratory at the University of Kentucky has an opening for a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar. The program will involve investigation of mechanisms underlying conformational differences in abnormal protein aggregation in synucleinopathies, such as Parkinsons disease, and related synucleinopathies. To tackle these questions, the lab utilizes cell- and molecular-based approaches, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence, and an expanding library of patient samples. We work closely with neurosurgical colleagues and the Brain Restoration Center at University of Kentucky. The position will also allow development of skills including grant and manuscript writing, mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students, and presentation of research findings at national and international conferences.
