The Defense group supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT, training and logistics and fleet management solutions.


  • The Network Analyst (Counter Access Team Support) is responsible for providing technical analysis to a wide range of difficult problems and independently performs activities to apply established network security procedures, log and make recommendations for correcting network security incidents; and coordinate the escalation of security issues requiring detailed analysis to Cybersecurity Analysts.
  • Responsible for building tactical and strategic network profiles for specific systems and complete network architecture.
  • Analyzes network intrusion detection systems and conduct vulnerability assessments using network intrusion devices and information assurance tools such as Internet Security Scanner (ISS), Cisco Security Agent (CSA), and other zero-day personal firewall and security agents.
  • Responsible for performing advanced network traffic analysis, and incident response analysis and assessment using vulnerability scanner/toolset to scan for vulnerabilities on the enterprise network to determine networks and systems security weaknesses and shortfalls.
  • Researches and coordinates vulnerability findings with the cybersecurity analysis team and computer emergency response team (CERT) to ensure vulnerabilities are properly identified and corrected.
  • Manages and maintain control of network intrusion detection systems (IDS). Responsible for performing security device/sensor maintenance, troubleshooting and fault isolation to ensure network connectivity to sensor equipment.
  • Establishes Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) between sites for protected communications and access control lists to restrict unauthorized access to network resources.
  • Responsible for monitoring network traffic and applying network security procedures, logs and makes recommendation for correcting network security incidents.
  • Provides oral or written findings and explanation of events for any legal actions associated with security breaches.
  • Provides general IT management support, general networking, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) enterprise, CONUS and OCONUS deployment andTDY travel, functional training, technical and general O&M, documentation and reports, and meetings/briefings to support Air Force Central Command (AFCENT) Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) operations.


  • B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years relevant IT experience; OR 7 or more years relevant IT experience.
  • Firewall experience
  • CEH
  • MCSA, Network+ CE, Firewall and ITIL Foundation
