Responsibilities

Perspecta is searching for a Director to drive business and mission results for programs supporting Naval Information Systems Warfare Command (NAVWAR) and related PEOs.

Responsibilities:

The Director will oversee an organization tasked with delivering solutions on time and within budget while growing the business. The Director will have frequent interaction with customers at executive levels driving brand awareness, demand creation and strengthening relationships. The Director will manage P&L of assigned scope as well as delivering progress and financial reports to the Segment VP and Senior Leadership of Perspecta.

This includes developing, reviewing, updating, and implementing strategic business plans; understanding the business concerns and issues faced by DoD, DoN, NAVWAR and associated PEOs; and building and delivering business solutions that delight the customer.

The position will spend 50-75% of its time on growth that includes meetings with customers and partners, proposals and other industry engagement.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in federal government contracting environments with at least 10 of those years in roles of increasing managerial responsibility.
  • A strong business acumen with profit and loss responsibility is essential, as is demonstrated strategic thinking that moves an organization forward in terms of financial growth and customer reach.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex business issues and must have experience in budgetary planning and implementation including financial reporting oversight.
  • Demonstrated success in holding their teams accountable for outstanding performance as well as in recruiting and retaining top talent.
  • Strong communication skills and executive presence.
  • The position focuses primarily on NAVWAR, NIWC PAC and NIWC LANT.
  • Previous experience and relationships with one or more of these organizations is required
  • Successful general management of portfolios greater than $50M in revenue preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical subject or equivalent work experience. MBA degree preferred.
  • A top secret clearance is required with SCI eligibility highly desired.

Qualifications

Requires BA/BS with 12 to15 years, with at least six plus years as a manager. Incumbent will have a specialized knowledge in one or more fields of disciplines and general knowledge in a number of others.
