Job Details

DEF operators are responsible for the blending process of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), product transfers, the loading of DEF product into transport trucks for our customers, and processing documentation. Operators will use a variety of equipment, including density meters, proprietary loading carts, transfer pumps and blending controls, when manufacturing DEF and loading product. The operator’s primary goal is to ensure an accurate, safe, and timely delivery of product according to company standards.


 Essential Functions

  • Supervise and perform the loading of trucks with product (DEF) using proprietary loading carts, as required, in a safe, accurate and timely manner.

  • Develop and implement operational efficiencies.

  • Implement and maintain a culture of safety.

  • Perform equipment operations and training.

  • Maintain an atmosphere of cleanliness in all areas of the operation.

  • Learn, maintain, operate, and enforce all processes associated with the DEF manufacturing process, including all documentation and quality controls.

  • Manage load operations, including product delivery, paperwork, and scheduling.

  • Schedule predictive maintenance tasks and ensure their documentation and completion.

  • Place a high priority on timeliness, attendance, and conscientious completion of assignments.

  • Create and maintain a team environment with other employees and departments.

  • Maintain a high level of customer service and friendly atmosphere.

  • Other duties as assigned, including assisting other site personnel as needed.

  • On occasion swing shift, weekends, and holiday work may be required.

Requirements

Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent.

  • 3+ years production and/or warehouse supervisor experience.

  • Knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook, and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications.

  • Excellent organizational skills, communications skills, ability to multi-task, and most importantly, the ability to work well in a team environment.

Recommended Requirements

  • Experience in truck loading and unloading and warehouse operations.

  • Forklift certification preferred.

     

Work Environment / Physical Requirements


This position is largely self-directed and requires the understanding of company policy, procedures, and values. Supervisor will be required to adhere and enforce all safety requirements in all work environments. In the warehouse environment, the supervisor may be exposed to noise, heat/cold, and other elements while performing the duties of this position. The supervisor will be exposed to moving mechanical parts, and exposed to urea and other related chemicals.


Specific Physical Requirements Include:

 

  • Occasionally lifting weights of up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders.
  • Opening valves.
  • Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights of up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Data entry while seated for greater than one-half (1/2) hour.
  • Walking of two (2) or more miles per day.
  • Working at temperatures from 40° to +100° degrees.
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Elevated work is required.
