Dendreon is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Associate. You will be responsible for the manufacturing of the PROVENGE (sipuleucel-T) product in a clean-room environment. The product is manufactured using our patients' blood.


In this role, you will:
  • Spend the majority of your day fully gowned in a clean room environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures to aseptically process clinical and commercial products
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Performs inventory control duties such as, checking goods received against purchase orders and invoices and preparing goods for final shipment
  • Undergo and maintain required training


Am I a Fit, Well Let's See
  • Have you worked at least 2 years in a heavily regulated industry?
  • Can you work a majority of your day standing and fully gowned?
  • Do you have the ability to work nontraditional shift? 10-12 hour overnight shifts.
  • Do you have the ability to work overtime or work different shifts as business needs require?
  • Do you have a technical science degree (e.g. Biotechnology, Chemistry, and Biology)? (Not required, but highly preferred.)
  • Have you worked in a clean room environment? (Not required, but highly preferred.)
  • Have your worked in a manufacturing/production/warehouse environment? (Not required, but highly preferred.)

We also need you to:
  • Demonstrate the highest level of integrity at all times
  • Have the demonstrated ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Be a team player and have a proven ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to quickly learn technical things.
  • Have demonstrated ability to work through and around obstacles and challenges.
  • Be highly proactive and disciplined to manage time effectively.

  • Associate's or Medical Technical degree or equivalent.
  • Typically 2 years related experience in CGMP/FDA regulated industry or 1 year with Medical Technical degree.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Intermittent walking to gain access to work areas
  • Finger dexterity sufficient to use a computer and to complete paperwork activities
  • Vision sufficient to use a computer, to read written materials and to complete paperwork activities;
  • Hearing sufficient to communicate with individuals by telephone and in person
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Limited exposure to (2C - 8C); (-20C); (-75C); (-196C) areas.
  • Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment, and regularly lift 10 20 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • May be required to work alternate shifts
  • Ability to gown aseptically for work in Clean Room environments
  • Job performed in a lab, office, or utility (noisy) environment
  • Must have the ability to work around laboratories, manufacturing areas and equipment with exposure to blood, blood products or OPIM (other potentially infectious materials) while donning required personal protective materials.
