Job Description

Position Summary

This position determines trade dress for Tevas extensive pipeline of Rx products in the U.S., including oral, topical, nasal, respiratory, sterile, and devices, while providing a marketing- and patient-focused perspective.  This position requires research and analysis, market insights, & strong collaboration across many groups & levels across the global organization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:                                            

  1. Determine and implement trade dress for all US products in development, through thorough research and analysis.  Attributes to be determined may include but are not limited to color, shape, imprints, flavor, closure types, safety features, pack configurations, and device functionality.  Includes all product forms and deliveries.
  2. Collaborate internally to identify any patent and trademark restrictions, regulatory guidelines, production constraints, and/or customer requirements for pipeline products.  Stay current on related FDA regulations.  Adhere to all company SOPs. Meet all timelines.
  3. Research products and analogues, competitive landscape, sales and prescription data, unmet market needs, and customer requirements 
  4. Research and recommend what package sizes to place on stability, and what sizes to commercialize
  5. Lead and participate in cross-functional, global meetings.  Foster strong working relationships with portfolio management & strategy, R&D, regulatory, market insights, packaging engineering, legal, manufacturing, launch execution, creative, systems integrity, and procurement teams. 
  6. Identify products that may need enhanced marketing efforts at time of commercialization
  7. Assist in trade name development for key products and coordinating projects with external agencies/consultants.                 
  8. Maintain trade dress database, system requirements, and be knowledgeable about its interface with other Teva infrastructure.  Ensure accuracy and currency.

Education Required: Bachelors Degree

Experience Required: 5+ years experience working with Drug Product Appearance, packaging, market research, retail pharmacy/related experience, or pharma marketing interface

Experience Preferred: 3+ years with generic pharmaceuticals

Functional Knowledge, Preferred: MS Office, IQVIA SMART, IQVIA NPA & NSP audits, IQVIA NPA basic data, Technical database experience

Company/Industry Related Knowledge, Required: Understanding of FDA trade dress guidelines for generic drugs; Working knowledge of the lifecycle of a pharmaceutical product, from portfolio evaluation to commercialization; Understanding of drug or consumer packaging
