Job Description

As a Maintenance Planner, well count on you to:

To be responsible for the efficient scheduling and planning of Engineering Maintenance and Calibration activities to maximize operational uptime.  Position is accountable for successful coordination with Supply Chain, Operations Management and Manufacturing Science and Technology groups to deliver a consolidated maintenance plan.

ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Validation to develop integrated operation and maintenance schedules.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance/calibration activities, labor and resources in CMMS to maximize equipment uptime and minimize impact to manufacturing operations.
  • Update the communication Tier and maintenance boards to capture equipment availability, associated metrics and important communications to engineering and maintenance personnel.
  • Escalate any issues impacting Maintenance Plan adherence (a key KPI) and perform Problem Solving and RCA to proactively resolve issues and develop options.
  • Formulate action plans to correct systemic issues impacting Maintenance Plan execution. Coordinate Planning activities with maintenance engineers, mechanics and operations personnel. Should spend majority of time to diagnose issues and perform RCA.
  • Implement and manage CAPAs related to maintenance processes.
  • Track and update key maintenance performance metrics in close coordination with Reliability engineer.
  • Conduct Non-Routine work order backlog meetings.
  • Generate key metrics reports as required.
  • Update PM tasks and Schedules in CMMS to effectively balance the work load.
  • Provide direction to the maintenance team as needed.
  • SOP updating and development.

Qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

 

Education/Certification/Experience/Skills:

  • Associates degree or other higher level education.
  • 8+ Years of Maintenance Experience within Pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated industry (with Five Years of Maintenance Planning Experience).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Microsoft Suite of Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point).
  • Background on equipment preventive maintenance programs, Total Productive Maintenance, equipment reliability and failure modes, efficiency metrics a plus.
  • Strong background of Maintenance Planning and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
