SAIC is seeking for qualified candidates to work on an exciting project in the Charleston South Carolina office. The selected candidate will be part of a team of acquisition logisticians performing logistics engineering in the design, development and delivery of specialized and unique weapon system. A proven background in acquisition logistics support planning for mission critical systems is required to perform in an integrated and geographically separated logistics team. Experience in weapon systems development and deployment is highly desired and a working knowledge and understanding of DoD sparing fundamentals is required.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible to the Logistics Manager to perform as the Provisioning subject matter expert for the logistics engineering technical team.
- The successful candidate will determine and acquire the range and quantity (depth) of spares and repair parts, and support and test equipment required to operate and maintain the system for the implementation and period and first year of service.
- A successful candidate must be able to identify items of supply, establish data for catalog, technical manual, and allowance list preparation, and prepare instructions to assure delivery of necessary support items with related end articles.
- As a subject matter expert you will be relied upon heavily by the program and logistics manager to have the answers to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and are consistent with team objectives.
- As a leader working in an integrated team environment as well as individually, the successful candidate will contribute to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
- Considered expert in field within the organization, you will receive assignments in the form of objectives and be required to establish goals to meet those objectives.
- In addition, you will provides guidance to more junior team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies.

Specific duties include:

The candidate will be knowledgeable and experienced with weapon system acquisition functions that are associated with determining and acquiring the range and quantity (depth) of spares and repair parts, and support and test equipment required to operate and maintain our system under design. Along the way you will participate and provide subject matter expertise to the design engineering and testing teams as the new system is developed. You will participate in trade studies and provide CDRL inputs for data collection requirements on a monthly basis.

You will assist the team:

- Performing trade studies to establish system, segment, and equipment RM&S requirements, assess their performance, and influence the design.
- Establishing RM&S requirements for conceptual designs based on customer needs, state-of-the-art technology capabilities, and program level performance requirements.
- Developing and maintain program RM&S processes. Establish RM&S technical performance measures (TPMs). Coordinates internal RM&S technical reviews.
- Monitoring RM&S risks, opportunities, and issues and serves as the focal point for release of RM&S technical data and R&M-related CDRLs.
- Developing system reliability and availability models.
- Providing technical and team leadership to systematically design, develop, prototype, test and deploy a major system and capability to an important customer.
- Working with the Lead Systems Engineer and other teams to ensure proper lifecycle support of the system according to the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Analyzing supportability impacts of proposed hardware designs.
- Developing methodologies and metrics to measure supportability.
- Providing thought leadership to the development team.

Qualifications:
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and two (2) years or more experience

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT:

- Must be United States citizen
- Must possess an SSBI that is current within the last 5 years
- Clearance Level Must Currently Possess: TS/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
- Clearance Level To Obtain: TS/SCI with Poly

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more of related experience. Special: {Minimum requirements}

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Proven DoD ILS provisioning skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- A solid working knowledge and understanding of computer/network systems.

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Familiarity with SLIC Wave, Raytheon Eagle of other R&M tools highly desired
- Experience in large system-of-systems design
- Demonstrated successful project development and delivery history
- Working knowledge of reliability and maintainability considerations in complex systems
- Experience in system development, test and fielding in a secure military environment
