**Role Summary:**



The Customs Operations Specialist supports the implementation of customs delivery model in operations. They help to research cost savings opportunities and provide customs, GST, FTP support to a regional process.



Project related concessions / exemptions, project imports documentation, registrations, closure etc. Manage Programs related to Import / Export Authorizations, MEIS, and various incentives under import and export schemes under Customs & FTP.







**Essential Responsibilities:**



Support the implementation of the delivery model for customs operations.



Research and vet additional opportunities for operational cost saving initiatives



Provide support to any all operational monitoring consistent with the global GOC monitoring plan, to assess risk and conduct topical reviews to ensure compliance to the program requirements



Support the process to manage and coordinate the compliance documentation for each program being utilized



Develop and deliver operational training for program compliance, classifications, special programs, import/exprot including cross-functional training



Support responses to audits and other requests from customs administrations







**Qualifications/Requirements:**



Bachelors / Masters degree / MBA from an accredited university or college with at least 7 years experience in Customs, or a Supply Chain related field), Project



Minimum of 6 years' experience in Customs, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain







**Desired Characteristics:**



University degree in a Customs related area such as supply chain management, business administration, or international trade.



Proven track record of project management



Demonstrated Compliance mindset



Demonstrated ability to use knowledge, experience and data to make accurate and timely decisions



Excellent verbal and written communication skills



Demonstrated ability to think analytically and critically



Demonstrated ability to work well with a global or cross-functional team



Experience with Microsoft Office applications
