The Xconomy Business Development Manager will call on a variety of senior level executives across the Tech ,Biotech, Life Sciences and Pharma industry verticals.  The BDM will develop effective digital advertising and sponsorship programs for their clients, leveraging the key audience that Xconomy reaches through our content and live events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop & sell effective and high return integrated digital campaigns with custom partnership programs, digital solutions and event sponsorships.
  • Drive retention and growth with existing client base
  • Research new prospective online marketers, follow-up on leads, track opportunities and aggressively cold call to continually feed sales pipeline with qualified leads
  • Prospect, develop, and service relationships with agencies/clients
  • Negotiate and be responsible for all contracts and execute creative ideas
  • Maintain an active schedule of face-to-face appointments and prospecting calls
  • Oversee your clients’ campaigns and regularly communicate performance results
  • Manage your own sales activity and pipeline to meet revenue targets and company goals

 

SKILLS & Experience REQUIRED

 

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
  •  3-4 years online advertising sales experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding set goals and quotas
  • Strong track record of bringing in new business (Hunter skills)
  • Entrepreneurial and independent, willing to be creative, flexible, and have a passion for learning new things
  •  Broad understanding of the trends in online advertising and selling
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal and written, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced sales environment
  • Highly responsive and customer-focused
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Salesforce
