IT DevOps Engineer – Informa Investment Solutions | Nashville, TN

 

Informa Investment Solutions is currently seeking an IT DevOps Engineer to join our team in Nashville, TN. This position will report into the Systems Team Lead and will work with local and remote IT and DEV resources.

Key Responsibilities

 

The IT DevOps Engineer will be part of an infrastructure team which responsibilities include implementation, operation, and maintenance or the company’s cloud environment, server, network, storage, desktop systems IP Telephony and mobile devices. As well as meeting security standards.

 

The primary responsibilities of the DevOps Engineer include but are not limited to, systems engineering, automation, product deployment, application migration, capacity planning, monitoring systems, backup/DR and implementations of standards.

 

Key Requirements

  • Hands on experience with Amazon AWS core services
  • Familiarity with scripting tools and languages, Python, JSON, Ruby
  • 1-2 years’ experience with automation of code deployment (CodeDeploy) building CloudFormation templates, building infrastructure via scripts and repeatable processes including 3rd party provisioning tools
  • Proficient with supporting both Microsoft and Linux environments
  • Working knowledge understanding of networking concepts, technologies and protocols including infrastructure as a service, VPC segmentation, routing
  • Working knowledge of database concepts, RDS, SQL, MongoDB, NoSQL, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with supporting high level of system availability and project implementation both on prem and on AWS
  • Understanding Security standards, procedures and design, to ensure the protection of company’s IT assets and the integrity, security and privacy if information entrusted to or maintained by the company.
  • Participation in audits & security reviews, providing all required IT-related documentation and/or information
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally, a team player.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the day-to-day operational aspects of project tasks
  • Responsible for performing duties and completing tasks as defined by team leads
  • Participates in the on-call rotation as well as off-hours work and support that may or may not be tied to that rotation

 

Additional Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Relevant certifications a plus
  • Ability to coach others in AWS technologies
  • Travel as needed to other locations
