SAIC has an immediate opening for an IT Client Support Specialist in Middletown, RI (Newport). Qualified candidates must be a US Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance (or previously held).

This position supports the NUWC Division Newport IT Department in the area of Client Support Services. It is responsible for performing routine customer support and maintenance activities for equipment and systems products. Using detailed government guidelines, performs on- site preventative maintenance, routine repair and update of the government and IT asset management. Assists higher level technicians with on-site installations, check-out and emergency repairs. Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers. Interaction normally involves exchanges or presentation of factual information.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- · Providing IT support help desk services for all NUWC (Naval Undersea Warfare Center).
- · Image and implemented STIGs on new/used desktops and laptops and provided security measures to allow them to join the Navy network
- · Required to scan for and remove all possible security vulnerabilities on machines before delivering them to customers
- · Required to troubleshoot and solve machine issues (tickets) sent in by customers in a timely and polite manor

CDI

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience: High school or equivalent required with a CompTIA Sec+ Certification.

- Strong communication skills -- on the phone and in-person
- Ability to move around frequently and lift up to 50lbs
- Basic technical experience/knowledge
- CompTIA Sec+ is required for this position
- Win 10 Certification/Training desired
