The HR Business Consultant will have progressive experience in consulting HR technical solutions and platforms and will be focused on designing creative technical and business solutions with ADP's internal clients within the HR community. This individual will have deep expertise around industry best practices, within multiple disciplines, and in the various aspects of HR Technology trends. HR Business Consultants champion the functional and technical aspects of business processes and applications in the areas of HR and other corporate applications.

The successful candidate focuses primarily on, but not limited to, helping define the technology roadmap for the Talent Acquistion Center of Excellence (COE) and effectively consulting on technology interventions and solutions. They will partner with business leaders and stakeholders translating strategic direction and vision into tactical solutions and oversee the transition to the Project Management Office (PMO) for execution by the HR Operations team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively establishes and cultivates strong collaborative relationships with business and key HR stakeholders throughout ADP, influencing technical solution decisions and practices. Inspires confidence in our organization by recommending accurate, innovative and thoughtful solutions, to deliver results beyond expectations.
  • Partners with COE leaders to determine new tools and systems.
  • Partnering with key stakeholders, develops a macro view of current and future state business that is closely connected with the business strategy. Operates with long and short term view (1-5 years) of technology direction and develops roadmaps based on this timeframe based on business and client's needs, technology trends and innovation.
  • Cultivates professional networks and connections, gaining insights into industry best practices providing an "Outside In" global perspective and approach.
  • Partners with COE leaders, HR Strategy and Planning Leadership, and HR leaders to determine and negotiate prioritization of business initiatives.
  • Engages with Solutions and Data Architects and HR Operations teams as it relates to guidance on technology infrastructure, data management and structure, and system and platform intersections that may impact recommended solution.
  • Leads the pre-planning work determining business and enterprise partnerships needed for successful project execution.
  • Conducts research around current business trends and disruptors and gains outside in perspective from network connections and peers. Consultants will leverage these insights in order to influence future roadmap decisions ensuring that all activities are closely aligned with corporate objectives and translated at the functional/technical level.
  • Defines and develops client's business requirements that align with strategy and key business initiatives identifying business drivers, problem, success metrics, key functional requirements, privacy, and security considerations.
  • Obtains input from all aspects of the ADP associate landscape to ascertain business tolerance for risk during pre-scoping of a solution -- field perspective and conflicting initiatives
  • Leads information gathering sessions as it relates to solutions for future state versus current state and/or during the creation of business requirements.
  • Assists COE leaders in the creation of business cases as it relates to technology and infrastructure,
  • Analyzes and interpret data to unearth weaknesses and or problems and comprehend the causes which assist in formulating an appropriate solution.
  • Manages customer expectations and negotiates solutions to complex problems with both internal clients and third-party vendors/ADP product teams.
  • Defines cutting edge solutions to complex business problems, while at the same time maintaining the flexibility for directional change aligning with executive priorities and strategies.
  • During execution of agreed solutions, remains engaged through go-live process and plays a key role in promoting solution adoption
  • Contributes to the creation of Privacy and Global Security Organization documentation, from a technical standpoint, as it relates to obtaining approval on a given solution.
  • Documents technical elements in Requests for Proposal (RFP). Researches potential vendors that match a defined solution and schedule product demonstrations with COE leaders and stakeholders. Accountable for accuracy of technical elements within Statement of Work (SOW) and ensuing contract and contract renewals

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivelent work experience
  • Experience in project management
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding around end-to-end global system implementation including: creating business requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, and support protocols.
  • Technical aptitude and a high degree of self-motivation
  • Excellent MS Office expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, functions, methods and best practices
  • Demonstrates consistently high level of interpersonal skills with clients.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Organized and analytical, able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Proven business or technical consulting experience, within HR, that include team, facilitation, business case and requirements development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping, and business process redesigning.
