Under the direct supervision of the HR Business Partner, this role responds to human resources inquiries, requests, and provides overall team member support. Utilizes a knowledgebase management tool to respond to routine HR policy, procedure, and process inquiries in support of HR clients; employees, managers, candidates, retirees etc. Documents all client interactions, requests, resolution and action taken within the HR case management application. This includes responding to calls from the Human Resources hotline and researching information that requires independent judgment and a working knowledge of different policies within HR. Maintains sound team member and HR cross functional relationships by handling questions and concerns with speed, accuracy and professionalism.

Respond timely and accurately to inquiries and process requests, according to established standards with attention to style, tone, and manner of communication. HR Client requests are received and monitored through the automated phone system, email, case management systems, or mail regarding inquiries. Assist HR clients; employees, managers, candidates, retirees etc. with a variety of Human Resources needs, including but not limited to, benefits, employee relations, leaves of absence, company policy, performance management, and talent acquisition. This position requires excellent communication and multitasking abilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist with handling situations involving employee/manager issues and inquires.  Identifies HR client’s needs quickly and takes appropriate action to ensure those needs is met. Perform necessary research and work cross functionally to resolve problems. Maintains utmost confidentiality of all requests.
  • Provide direct support to company employees, other HR groups, and company management as part of a centralized function to handle a variety of HR-related transactions.
  • Supports projects required for servicing team members and our employees across the Reliance Family of Companies
  • Processes various transactions such as: new-hires, terminations, job changes, compensation etc.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in HR required , preferably in a call center environment
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well and collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to work within a team and take initiative on research and problem solving.
  • Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Appropriately escalates or routes requests from employees to others for additional information as needed.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and roll up sleeves to go figure it out in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong PC skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; MS Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Appropriately escalates or routes requests from employees to others for additional information as needed.
  • Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills essential
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Bilingual speaking English/Spanish oral and written communication preferred
