Position Summary

You will develop and execute an API sales and market strategy for the Region/Market to drive long-term, sustainable, profitable growth, as well as lead a small team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Regional/Market P&L for API sales and services to achieve work plan objectives. Insure sales targets and profits is met at high level
  • Execute against targets for seeding and overall project conversions
  • Drive salesforce effectiveness through continuous improvement, measured by traction, velocity and quality of seeding
  • Deliver on optimal Customer Experience to customers within the responsible territory, including building and maintaining long term relationships
  • Develop market strategy, including key success factors and areas for differentiation and deliver on execution against the plan
  • Develop and implement strategies to collaborate and engage colleagues in India and other regions around the world


  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry strongly preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of pharma/ API sales and marketing experience
  • Knowledge of markets, competitors, patients and customers and experience applying different strategies to drive success
  • Experience leading a sales team, including experience removing obstacles and distractions
  • A strong track record of driving long term, profitable and sustainable growth in multiple markets
  • Experience identifying new customer and partnership opportunities, determining optimal relationship conditions/model (licensing, co-promotion, acquisition), and executing these relationships
  • Working knowledge of the product development and commercialization processes including the integrated functional and global/regional requirements
  • Strategic understanding of how to forecast capability requirements, build  future capabilities, optimize talent and drive development
