## Job Mission

Help our partners in Field Support maximize ASML tool performance, by providing a responsive one-stop shop for diagnostic support, specialized skills, and knowledge.

## Job Description

Responsible for 3rd line escalation support to the company’s field organization relating to:

1. Technical problem solving within the Top (Reticle Stage & Reticle Handler) team competency



* Solve complex technical problems on ASML Lithographic equipment escalated by our customers to the GSC TOP competency.


* Analyze, identify potential root causes and solve complex issues related to the photolithography process.


* Remote diagnosis of complex technical (system & module) escalations (call handling of service orders) from our customers and creating deterministic forward looking action plans (DFLAP) according the ASML escalation process expectation setting.


* Interface with both internal as well as external customers where required to explain the findings of our analysis and proposed action plans


* Travel to customer site on short notice when unable to solve problem remotely.


* Escalate to the next support level according to the committed escalation processes and time line agreements.


* Facilitate in escalations from the continental GSC’s (Asia/EU) towards the factory (D&E;, SE, manufacturing, etc.).


* Identify, secure and support the rollout of structural improvements for installed base ASML Lithographic machines.


* Secure a written and verbal pass down of all ongoing escalations towards GSC Asia in order to secure 24x7 escalation support for our customers without added delay.


* Receive pass downs from GSC Europe to GSC North America in order to secure 24x7 escalation support for our customers without added delay.

2. Knowledge proliferation



* Mentor trainees and deliver feedback on potential improvements with respect to way of working and knowledge/skill level concerning Top Module escalations.


* Must be able to proliferate knowledge within the customer field organization at every opportunity by means of weekly calls, during escalations, on site visits and generation of documentation.


* Set up and coordinate yearly competency knowledge exchange weeks between the ASML Tech support (2nd line) and GSC organization, incl. preparation, generation and presentation of knowledge sharing material for the Top Module competency.


* Integrate background information concerning the problem and the solutions in action/repair plans.


* Combine on-site support with knowledge transfers to local organization.

3. New Product Introduction (NPI) preparation:



* During the NPI phase, you are assigned to the project (remote or on site in the factory) to gain the skills and knowledge to independently support field escalations. Manage own training plan and indicate what is required.


* Coordinate, transfer and share gained skills and knowledge within WW GSC Top Module teams to establish and maintain consistence knowledge between continental GSC support teams.


* During On-site introduction phase support you will be delivering knowledge and escalation handling to local organization.

## Education

BS or Master Degree in an Engineering discipline, or 8 years of experience working remotely and hands on with photo lithographic equipment and processes or equivalent experience

## Experience

2 –8 Year(s) of experience
Experience should encompass working with and understanding issues in the lithographic semi-conductor manufacturing process, experience in the knowledge of electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, optics, hydraulics, software, related disciplines.

(Preferred) Knowledge of ASML Illumination, Projection and Dose Control theory of operation and analysis

As a GSC ILP engineer, you will be expected to work closely with your immediate team members, worldwide GSC counterparts, factory contacts and the field to ensure we share knowledge and deliver the highest quality to our external customers.

Ownership is a key trait exhibited by GSC engineers. In order to solve issues quickly and efficiently, one GSC engineer per continent is identified as a single point of contact to partner with the local teams.

We are expected to follow through on commitments to the field and to our external customers, drive escalations through the other continental GSCs, the EMO office, and our factory resources, and ensure all stakeholders are in alignment on progress and next steps. This includes ensuring next actions are in place to eliminate lost machine time, on-site travel as necessary to meet the demands of the business, ensuring administration is up to date and that the history of the issue and current status is understood when transfer of ownership is necessary. In addition, once issues are solved, it’s our responsibility to determine what additional follow-up is needed to prevent re-occurrence.
