This position is within the Davies College of Business and will work very closely and primarily with faculty on instructional materials for business courses.


The Graphic Designer is responsible for maintaining the aesthetic branding and mission of the university through design and production of its electronic, printed and multimedia materials. This position works closely with internal constituents such as other departments, staff and/or faculty. The designer works proactively within the brand guidelines when providing projects for constituents.


  1. Produces high quality, marketing pieces for internal and/or external constituents, for print and digital based projects
  2. Depending on the department this positions may develop graphics and visual or audio images for product illustrations, logos, websites and other marketing collateral
  3. Selects designs, including colors, images, text styles and layout, which maintain current brand standards
  4. Works on various projects with tight deadlines


  1. Produces various creative concepts to show clients
  2. Performs all other duties as assigned

  1. Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
  2. Strong knowledge of graphic-related technologies to digital media
  3. Knowledge of digital medial landscape



  1. Candidates must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  2. Candidates should be able to show work they have done in the form of a portfolio. They must have a good design background and have better than intermediate skills in Creative Cloud.



  1. Ability to work a project from inception to completion
  2. Ability to work both independently and efficiently on projects
  3. Ability to work and express self in a team environment effectively
  4. Ability to translate content into attention-grabbing visual stories that enhance communication and overall quality of presentation
  5. Ability to layout visual elements, including photography, illustration, image presentation to produce and maintain a professional product
  6. Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community


Primary Work Location: Works in an office environment

Physical Demands: Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. Position is physically comfortable; individual has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks
