General Responsibilities

The FSMB is seeking an Operations Manager for our FCVS department.

The FCVS Operations Manager is responsible for assisting the Senior Director of FCVS in the administration and operations of FCVS projects and programs. In addition, he/she is responsible for contributing operations information and recommendations towards strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits, identify trends; forecast requirements, schedule expenditures; analyze variances; and initiate corrective actions. Ensures systems and procedures operate at maximum efficiency and lead staff for optimum performance. ¬†Plan and allocate resources to achieve productivity and quality goals. This position contributes to the overall success of the FSMB by enhancing the organization’s vitality through services provided to state medical and osteopathic boards as well as strategic industry partners.

Professional Background Required


Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: 7-8 years’ experience including 5-7 years’ recent experience supervising 25+ staff including frontline and supervisory level. Customer service skills, preferably in a health care or professional association setting. Education Credentialing experience preferred.

Skills: The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, oral, analytical and organizational skills. He or she must also possess a good work history, leadership, critical thinking, problem solving and conflict management skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must have knowledge of business management, basic economic and accounting principles and practices.  The candidate must possess the ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions while performing several tasks simultaneously. He or she must be able to listen to, instruct and motivate employees utilizing a \"team\" approach to productivity and performance. He or she must also be able to maintain confidentiality, be knowledgeable of office administrative and human resources management procedures.
