Description:
Equipment Maintenance Technician - Intermediate Jonesboro, AR Service - Full Time Riggs CAT is an award winning, family owned and operated, Caterpillar dealership, serving the state of Arkansas by selling, renting, and servicing Caterpillar equipment since 1927 from 8 locations across the state. Our Equipment Maintenance Technicians operate our lube trucks which preform preventative maintenance, inspections, minor repairs, and other related supporting service work on products sold or serviced by Riggs in a field environment without supervision. Responsibilities: Carries out scheduled preventive maintenance field service with lube truck. Clean machines, components, and parts. Load and unload equipment, components, and parts. Transport equipment, components, and parts around the facility. Perform basic and advanced maintenance on equipment. Inspect equipment for proper operation and for additional repairs needed and provides advice to customers. Plan and conduct maintenance and repairs. Complete service documentation, parts acquisition and return, tool acquisition and return, service and technical information retrieval, and other activities to enable prompt invoicing and collection of service work performed. Perform all tasks in a manner that ensures customer satisfaction and prompt invoicing and payment for work performed. Take proper care of all company owned assets and keeps work area and service truck clean and orderly. Assist in training lower level Technicians when needed. Perform all of the above functions in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. Facilitates the sale of additional service whenever appropriate. Other duties as required in support of Riggs customers and business operations. A willingness to respond to the changing needs of the business and do what is necessary to carry out the total department responsibility. REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or GED Class A or B Commercial Driver's license (CDL) or the ability to obtain a CDL. At least 3 years experience repairing and maintaining CAT equipment preferred. Lube truck preventive maintenance service experience is a plus.
