The Enterprise Application Architect will be a core member of a next generation Enterprise Architecture practice and is expected to become a trusted advisor for both the IT and the Business leadership teams.

- The Architect will help drive the development of the future IT landscape, in close collaboration with business leaders, process owners, IT Delivery teams and Enterprise Solution Architects.
- The successful candidate will provide advice and consulting support to our key stakeholders on strategy, architecture reviews, architecture governance, data governance, and various technology management topics.
- You will design and implement information systems, which adequately support the enterprise infrastructure of the organization.
- You will analyze system requirements and ensure that systems are secure and are effectively integrated with current applications.
- You will ensure that IT projects implement enterprise strategies and target reference architectures, apply architectural principles & best practices, and follow established enterprise IT governance process and guidelines.
- You will ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and offer guidance & directions to application development teams regarding new technologies and policy compliance requirements.
- The successful candidate will be a result-driven, self-starter with demonstrable experience in legacy modernization and digital transformation projects.
- Candidate will be proficient in infrastructure, cloud architecture & technologies, databases, application software programming, and web application technologies.
- In addition, the role is responsible for working with the technology development teams to build out the appropriate application roadmaps to iteratively develop the capabilities to achieve the desired target state.
- The strategies are expected to be fluid and evolve over time and the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring all artifacts remain relevant.


- Consult on software architecture and design principles
- Mentor development teams on topics ranging from application development and debugging to performance testing and improvement.



- Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience; Masters and seven (7) years or more experience ; PhD or JD and four (4) years or more experience.


- Clearance Level Must Possess: None
- Clearance Level Must be able to Obtain and Maintain: Ability to obtain a government NACI background investigation

- Expert knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD)
- Expert knowledge of building and deploying JEE compliant enterprise web applications
- Expert knowledge of the software engineering approach, based on object-oriented methodology, design patterns, and layered application architecture
- Expert Knowledge of Automated builds (CI/CD) using Jenkins and Maven
- Expert knowledge of Automated unit testing using JUnit, Maven, and Cucumber
- Knowledge of Eclipse and JBoss
- Knowledge of Use case diagrams, sequence diagrams, and UML techniques
- Design and coding walkthroughs
- Extensive knowledge of Graphical User Interface (GUI) development using HTML, CSS and SPA development principles
- Knowledge of accessibility (Section 508) standards and techniques
- Expert knowledge of RDBMS systems such as MS SQL Server and Oracle
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques
- Knowledge of Database normalization techniques and Transaction Management systems
- Knowledge of JEE based messaging (JMS) and MQSeries software
- Software testing, debugging, and profiling techniques

- Experience providing consulting services to the U.S. federal government
