The Intelligence group provides high-end systems engineering and integration products and services, data analytics and software development to national and military intelligence customers. The Engineering Lead is responsible for cloud systems plans and strategy; design, development, and deployment of applications into a Cloud or Hybrid Cloud; and implementation of enterprise infrastructure and platforms required for cloud computing. The Engineering Lead responsibilities include architecting and leading the development and integration of cloud-based information and computer systems that meet specific needs, as identified in the TOR. The Engineering Lead is accountable for the end-to-end cloud deployment experience, from concept development to deployment.

This effort is to advance the state of the art in big data, data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and advanced analytics to enhance the DoDs and the Intelligence Communitys (IC) information processes and technical architectures. DoD and the IC, warfighters, policymakers, and acquisition leaders must address strategic challenges that focus on leading-edge IT to deliver insight, advantages, and dominance in all warfighting domainsland, maritime, air, space, and cyber.

The primary places of performance are the DIA site located at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling (JBAB) and at other Government and contractor facilities in the National Capital Region (NCR). Support in other regions, both in the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS). It is anticipated that long-distance travel will be required.


Must Have:

  1. A minimum of TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  2. A minimum of a Bachelors degree in business, computer science, management information systems, or related technical field.
  3. A minimum of ten years of experience supporting architecture design, development, implementation, and maintenance.
  4. A minimum of one of the following professional certifications:
    1. Professional Cloud Solutions Architect (PCSA)
    2. AWS Solutions Architect (Professional)


  1. Experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions similar to AWS or Elastic MapReduce.
  2. Experience supporting highly distributed applications.
  3. Experience leading a cross-functional technology team.
  4. Possess one of the following AWS Certifications:
    1. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
    2. AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate)
    3. AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional)
    4. AWS Certified Big Data (Specialty)
  5. Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies and Application Lifecycle Management.
  6. Experience working with programming languages such as Java, C++, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, Pig/Hive, and/or Elixir.
  7. DIA experience.
  8. Strong oral skills as they will be presenting to the client.
