Job Details

Due to growth and expansion, Carson is excited to fill this role for the company. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our high-performance team in a role that will allow for additional growth limited only by your own capabilities and aspirations.

Purpose: This position will be responsible for monitoring fuel inventories and the dispatching of fuel orders to the appropriate trucks and drivers, and overall logistics management and efficient operation.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Dispatch bulk fuel deliveries.

  • Electronically monitor bulk fuel tanks to avoid fuel runouts.

  • Schedule deliveries for monitored tanks and others as required.

  • Resolve driver and rack issues.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Review orders for accuracy and correct any mistakes before dispatching to drivers.

  • Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.

  • Coordinate daily operational needs with management, sales, and drivers to satisfy customer expectations.

  • Participate in shift planning and follow-up daily shift assignments to ensure customers’ expectations are met.

  • Review weekly projected volume demand to adjust driver shifts to meet demand.

  • Monitor driver time and notify management of any potential issues.

  • Inform route managers of any potential customer sites that need to be evaluated due to safety or customer service issues.

  • Support and empower drivers to make safety conscience decisions.

  • Work with route managers to establish and monitor productivity and safety targets for each driver.

  • Assist with data collection and reporting for management.

  • Develop a strong understanding and dedication to the safety program.

Requirements

 

Required/Desired Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor degree or currently working towards your degree.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation.

  • Computer literate with experience using MS Office and hours of service management systems.

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
