SAIC in Huntsville, Alabama currently has an opening for a Cyber Security Analyst, to support the Software Engineering Directorate at Redstone Arsenal.

Job Description:

The candidate for this position will provide Cyber Security/Information Assurance analyst support to the U.S. Army Software Engineering Directorate. Candidate will be working as part of a software development team that is designing and developing software applications to enhance Army Aviation maintenance and operations activities as well as integrating existing aviation software applications. The candidate for this position will demonstrate subject matter expertise with Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Job Duties:

Candidate will ensure information systems security and application security policies and procedures (Security Technical Implementation Guides [STIG], Information Assurance Vulnerability Management [IAVM], and Federal Information, Security Management Act (FISMA)) are followed. In addition will develop/implement system security plans, control implementation, and system requirements. Candidate will conduct information system (IS) security assessments and validations and provide security recommendations/remedial actions to ensure IS compliance is met and plan of actions and milestones are defined.

Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure
- Provide security subject matter expertise at all engineering, change, configuration control or equivalent meetings
- Assess threats to the environment
- Provide inputs on the adequacy of security designs and architectures
- Participate in risk assessment during the certification and accreditation process
- Ensure that the architecture and design of DoD information systems are functional and secure
- Lead/support the quarterly Federal Information Security Management Act audits
- Experience preparing for and conducting command cyber readiness inspection self-inspections/audits audit activities associated with As needed, design and develop IA or IA enabled products, interface specifications, and approaches to secure the environment
- Experience implementing and managing a patch and vulnerability management and reporting program
- Provide technical expertise for Cybersecurity efforts supporting multiple programs and labs.
- Prepare DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation packages solutions for several system and labs IAW ICD 503, CNSS 1253 and NIST 800-53 Rev 5.
- The position is responsible for analyzing and translating Cybersecurity (IA) and technical solutions into accreditation packages that meets DoD/Army accreditation standards.
- Responsible for performing Cybersecurity analysis of all aspects of both operational information systems and laboratory- based information systems.
- Position provides continuous monitoring to maintain the security posture of program resources.
- Must have experience with the implementation and operation of mandatory tools such as Assured Compliance Assessment Solutions (ACAS), Security Center, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and Host Based Security Software (HBSS).
- Perform vulnerability scans and work with systems administrators to identify and implement technical security controls.
- Write security related procedures, incident reports and white papers.
- Security + (Plus) required.

Desired Skills:
- CISSP preferred.
- Certificates of training in Windows, Unix/Linux, HP Fortify, McAfee HBSS, ACAS and eMASS are desired.
